Kristina Skender was appointed Chief Operating Officer of Capital Markets for Canaccord Genuity (Australia) in October 2019, having previously acted as its Deputy COO. As one of the first employees in Canaccord’s Australian operations she has gained experience working in several of its business units and alongside many of its senior personnel over the past fifteen years, which has assisted her in identifying areas for continuous improvement as well as ensuring that new initiatives are supported operationally by the broader team.
Kristina has been active in the financial services industry since 2005. She worked at Citi Smith Barney as a Dealer’s Assistant before joining BGF Equities in 2009, which became part of Canaccord Genuity Group, Inc. in 2011. Over the past fifteen years she has been actively involved in several divisions including Settlements, Compliance, Human Resources, and Equity Capital Markets.
Kristina is a member of Canaccord Genuity Australia’s Operating Committee, Executive Committee and Capital Markets Executive Committee, as well as leading the Australian Diversity, Equity & Inclusion agenda. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Finance) from the University of Melbourne.
