Roger Lambert, JP Morgan Cazenove veteran, appointed Chairman of Corporate Broking, Collins Stewart

26 November 2009

Collins Stewart, a leading independent financial advisory group, is pleased to announce the strengthening of its Corporate Broking division with the appointment of Roger Lambert as Chairman. In this role Roger will report to Mark Brown, Group Chief Executive Officer, and work with Mark Dickenson, Head of Corporate Broking, in the management and development of the division.

Roger will focus on developing Collins Stewart’s client relationships and building its UK corporate client list, with a particular focus on the mid-market.

Roger spent 26 years at Cazenove and JP Morgan Cazenove where he was a Partner and Managing Director respectively in corporate finance. He was responsible for key client coverage in the consumer sector, notably SAB Miller, InterContinental Hotels and Mitchells & Butlers, and advised on many major M&A transactions including the merger of Guinness and GrandMet to form Diageo and the sale of Allied Domecq to Pernod Richard. Roger built a consumer sector advisory team as Cazenove evolved its offering from UK corporate broking to a full service financial advisory capability.

Mark Brown, Chief Executive of Collins Stewart, commented:

“I am delighted that we have recruited such talent. Roger’s experience and relationships in the UK market will greatly assist our Corporate Broking division in building Collins Stewart’s presence in the mid market.”
