Tony Dwyer

Equity Strategist & Managing Director, US Portfolio Strategy, Canaccord Genuity Inc. (US)

Tony Dwyer, who joined Canaccord Genuity in 2012, is the firm's Chief Market Strategist and a Senior Managing Director, after serving in the same roles at Collins Stewart LLC.  Mr. Dwyer has served as Canaccord Genuity’s co-director of Research and currently sits on the firm’s Operating Committee.  Prior to Joining Canaccord Genuity, he served as equity strategist at Collins Stewart and held the additional role of director of Research while sitting on the firm’s Executive Committee.  Tony started his equity research career at Prudential-Bache Securities in 1987 and served as equity market strategist at a number of small regional brokers prior to joining FTN Equity Capital Markets in 2003. At FTN, Dwyer served as an equity market strategist and was a member of the FTN Midwest Securities Investment Committee (IC); he was later appointed to chair the IC in 2006. Dwyer is a graduate of Le Moyne College, where he earned a bachelor of arts degree in political science.

Martin Roberge

Managing Director, North American Portfolio Strategy, Canaccord Genuity Corp. (Canada)

Martin Roberge serves as Portfolio Strategist and Quantitative Analyst at Canaccord Genuity. He is responsible for providing tactical asset mix and sector rotation research and recommendations to the firm’s retail and institutional clients. Previously, he held similar roles at Dundee Securities and National Bank Financial. Martin acquired money-management expertise as the lead portfolio manager of absolute-return funds at Natcan Investment Management and Crystalline Management. Over the years, Martin has been highly ranked as a portfolio strategist and quantitative analyst in Canada, according to the Brendan Wood International survey. He holds the CFA designation and is a member of the Montreal Society of Financial Analysts. He completed a bachelor of business administration in finance from Bishop’s University and a master of science in finance from l’Université de Sherbrooke. Brian Reynolds

Managing Director - Asset Class Strategist, US Cash Equities - Macro

Brian Reynolds, CFA, is the Asset Class Strategist for Canaccord Genuity. He specializes in identifying and correlating developments and trends in the U.S. credit, credit derivatives and shadow banking markets to U.S. Asset Classes. Beginning in 1984, he spent 16 years on the buy side as a fixed income portfolio manager and analyst at David L. Babson & Co. as the U.S. credit market grew from a backwater to become a major driver of financial market booms and busts. As the former head of both structured finance and money markets at Babson, Brian is intimately familiar with the growth of shadow banking that helped to fuel the credit boom-and-bust cycles of the 1990s, 2000s and the current cycle that began in 2009. Both equity and fixed investors have found that his experience in these areas has been beneficial in helping them to navigate the changing landscape of financial markets. Brian is a graduate of Harvard University, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics.

Michael Welch

Michael Welch joined Canaccord Genuity in March 2012 as a technical analyst following the acquisition of Collins Stewart LLC. Prior to joining Collins Stewart, Michael spent over six years in the Equity Strategy group at FTN Equity Capital Markets, where his primary focus was in technical analysis. Before FTN, he spent four years on the Proprietary Trading desk at Ladenburg Thalmann & Co. He began his career in 1996 in retail sales at Tucker Anthony Inc.
