Robert (Tenny) Field, Managing Director, joined Sawaya Partners in 2006, now CG Sawaya Partners. During Tenny’s tenure with Sawaya Partners, he has been actively involved in advising a wide range of public, private equity-backed and privately-held clients on a variety of Consumer M&A assignments, primarily within the Household & Home Improvement, Auto Aftermarket, and Food & Beverage sectors. Tenny has also worked extensively to help broaden the firm’s relationships within the private equity community.
Tenny began his career in 1995 as an analyst in the Investment Banking division of Chemical Bank (subsequently Chase/JP Morgan), initially covering Energy and Chemical companies. Over an ensuing seven year period, Tenny’s transactional experience spanned general corporate advisory, M&A, syndicated & leveraged finance, and equity offerings in both the U.S. and Europe. In 2003, Tenny joined RPM International in a corporate development capacity, with a focus on RPM’s Consumer segment activities, notably on behalf of DAP, where he was also directly involved with day-to-day management activities, and Rust-Oleum.
Tenny holds a B.A. in both Economics and French from Vanderbilt University and an M.B.A. from the Columbia University Graduate School of Business.
