Welcome John Quealy

We are excited to welcome John Quealy back to Canaccord Genuity as Managing Director, Equity Capital Markets.  In this role, John will be responsible for driving ECM business development and leading transaction origination of equity and equity-linked offerings. He will leverage his extensive client relationships, sector expertise, and deep market insight to focus on the Sustainability, Energy Transition, and Industrial Technology sectors among broader sector support.

John rejoins us after nearly seven years at Trillium Asset Management where he was the Chief Investment Officer and Portfolio Manager. Prior to joining Trillium, John spent 18 years at Canaccord Genuity as Managing Director within the Equity Research team, directing institutional equity research efforts in the Energy Technology and Sustainability sectors for North America and the United Kingdom.

John holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Philosophy from Boston College and is a CPA license holder (Massachusetts). 

Based in Boston, John will collaborate closely with sector coverage teams and the broader ECM team to identify thematic opportunities and develop tailored capital markets strategies. Drawing on his deep industry experience, he will serve as a trusted advisor to clients as they navigate both public and private equity markets. He will also help drive the firm’s growth in high-potential sectors across sustainability and industrial innovation, further positioning Canaccord Genuity as a leading partner to companies advancing the energy transition and next-generation technologies.
