Chris Blackwell

Chris Blackwell joined Canaccord Genuity in May 2017 as Managing Director, Head of Investment Banking – Canada and has oversight over Canadian Investment Banking activities. Based in our Toronto office, Chris brings nearly 30 years of international banking and advisory experience to his role, with strong cross-border and private equity expertise. Most recently, he was a Partner of the mid-market private equity investment firm, Access Holdings, where he originated and led capital raising, working closely with investors, management teams and sponsor partners across North America. Previously, Chris spent three years at Scotiabank as Co-Head of Diversified Industries and 14 years with CIBC World Markets, where he led Investment Banking for Diversified Industries in Canada, Hong Kong and New York. In addition, he has served on the boards of both Foundation Partners Group and Kuvare Holdings. Chris holds an HBA from the Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario and holds a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.
