Our Canadian operation, Canaccord Genuity Corp., is currently seeking an Analyst to join our Investment Banking group in Montreal. Analysts in this group are generalists, gaining experience across the full spectrum of non-resource industries (including Technology, Media, Telecommunications, Consumer Products, Industrials, Healthcare and Financials, among others) and product groups (M&A, Corporate Finance, and Restructuring).
Responsibilities:
- Work alongside deal teams consisting of Canaccord Genuity professionals at all levels including the senior principles, on a variety of advisory and financing transactions in a variety of diversified sectors;
- Play a key role in all aspects of developing and executing transactions, including:
- Financial analysis
- Value analysis
- Detailed modeling
- Preparation of presentation materials
- Research of company and industry dynamics
- Conducting due diligence
- Preparation of offering documents
- Marketing Transactions
- Completion of a university degree in a business-related discipline;
- Relevant experience in Investment Banking / M&A / Private Equity in a similar role;
- Fully bilingual (French, English);
- Solid quantitative skills including strong financial modeling skills;
- Strong analytical ability and written communication skills;
- Resourceful, diligent and strong attention to detail;
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Our Canadian operation, Canaccord Genuity Corp., is currently seeking a Toronto or Vancouver-based Equity Research Analyst to join our mining team covering companies in the exploration and development industry. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a background in geology combined with solid experience in capital markets.
Responsibilities
- Perform fundamental analysis on covered companies to generate investment ideas and recommendations;
- Develop and maintain complex financial models, market monitoring systems and databases;
- Develop and maintain regular contact with internal partners, institutional clients and senior executives (CEOs/CFOs);
- Conduct site visits and attend industry conferences;
- Author research reports and marketing presentations.
Skills & Qualifications
- Degree in geology or solid experience in mining exploration and development;
- At least five years’ experience in capital markets
- Excellent analytical skills and understanding of relevant financial and accounting techniques;
- Comfortable with client interaction;
- Ability to express ideas effectively and fluently;
- Ability to write clearly and concisely with speed and precision;
- Expert MS office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint);
- Flexibility to travel extensively and work long hours;
- Self-motivated, organized, strong attention to detail, and willing to work within a flexible schedule.
