Responsibilities:
 

  • Working directly with a team where the focus is on client relationships and building a sustainable wealth management business;

  • Maintain account lists and compile statistical information and reports;

Skills & Qualifications:
 
  • Completion of CSC, CPH and licensed with IIROC required; 
  • 1-3 years of related experience, with a well-rounded knowledge of the securities industry; 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; 
  • Excellent organizational skills, with a strong attention to detail; 
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, take initiatives and multi-task; 
  • Ability to work independently, and effectively with employees and clients at all levels; 
  • Intermediate to advanced computer skills: good working knowledge of MS Office programs; 
  • An interest in Financial Planning and/or Insurance would be beneficial;

Responsibilities:

Client Support & Advisory Relationships:

  • Simplify complex strategies for Investment Advisors (IAs) to assist with building our affluent and emerging High Net Worth clients;
  • Work with our national team of Wealth & Estate Planning Specialists to:
    • Prepare comprehensive wealth plans to address advisor/client specific needs or concerns in the areas of financial, investment, retirement, risk management and estate planning;
    • Personalize each wealth plan to provide expert knowledge around challenges affecting emerging affluent clients, such as: holding companies, employee stock options, individual pension plans, retirement compensation agreements, spousal loans, charitable giving, etc.;
  • Deliver presentations to IAs and clients on specific topics related to financial, retirement, insurance and estate planning solutions, to maintain and retain Canaccord Clients, and attract new assets through promoting plans to drive the business;
  • Present appropriate Insurance Strategy’s to clients, in the context of personal debt coverage, tax strategies within a corporation, or with regards to long-term Estate planning;
  • Maintain ongoing relationships with IAs and their clients in a team context;
  • Liaise with external stakeholders including Accountants, Canaccord’s Charitable giving partner CIS, Local Insurance Wholesalers and Estate Lawyers to support our HNW client needs.

Business & Program Development:
  • Maximize partnerships and synergies between departments by maintaining an understanding of Canaccord Genuity Wealth Management’s products and services and directing Investment Advisors to the correct Wealth & Estate product and services;
  • Generate ideas and participate in the development of projects that will enhance client service and generate fee based and insurance revenues;

Training & Support: 
  • Provide IAs with support on our Financial Planning software Naviplan; 
  • Promote the use of Naviplan to IAs and increase their proficiency by providing one-on-one and group training sessions.

Our Canadian operation, Canaccord Genuity Corp., is currently looking for an energetic, detailed and organised individual to join our Wealth Management team in Vancouver.  The successful candidate’s role will support a team of Investment Advisors in establishing and maintaining strong client relationships.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Working directly with a team of Investment Advisors where the focus is on client relationships and building a sustainable wealth management business;
  • Assist Investment Advisors with processing and confirming client transactions;
  • Deal directly with clients, provide quotes and assist with executing trading orders;
  • Maintain account lists and compile statistical information and reports;
  • Process and follow-up on client documentation for proper maintenance of accounts;
  • Assist with servicing existing clients;
  • Involvement in developing the wealth business using various marketing initiatives;
  • Perform additional administrative duties as required.
 

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Completion of or working towards CSC, CPH and licensing with IIROC;
  • 5 years of related experience, with a well-rounded knowledge of the securities industry;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Excellent organizational skills, with a strong attention to detail;
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, take initiatives and multi-task;
  • Ability to work independently, and effectively with employees and clients at all levels;
  • Intermediate to advanced computer skills: good working knowledge of MS Office programs;
  • An interest in Financial Planning and/or Insurance would be beneficial;
  • Knowledge of Dataphile and and NetX 360 is an asset.

The Administrative Assistant will support and report into a team of Investment Advisors at Canaccord Genuity, Vancouver.
 
Responsibilities:
 

  • Provide day-to-day administrative support to the Investment Advisors;
  • Coordinate business meetings, conferences and travel arrangements;
  • Assist with providing high level, priority management and calendar management;
  • Prepare or assist in the preparation of business correspondence, presentations, reports and spreadsheets;
  • Assist with processing expense reports in a timely and accurate manner;
  • Assist with maintaining various databases, records and other documents;
  • Perform general administrative duties;
  • Assist with marketing activities and social media;
  • Servicing clients with professionalism, efficiency and upholding confidentiality;
  • Assist with special projects as required.
 
Skills & Qualifications:
 
  • Demonstrated experience within an Administrative role;

The successful candidate will be supporting an established investment advisory and portfolio management team.
This a full time, 6-month contractual role with a possibility of extension.

Responsibilities:
 

  • Coordinate and execute a targeted digital and social media marketing program aimed at identifying and qualifying potential investors. A range of investment products may include stocks, bonds and insurance related investment products and strategies; 
  • Copy writing experience, content creation for marketing material, e-newsletters and the website;
  • Organize and maintain a CRM database of prospects and clients;
  • Contact prospects to determine interest in receiving literature on selected investment products;
  • Assist with coordinating media interviews and online client seminars led by Investment Advisors;
  • Work on various e-marketing projects as assigned;
  • Prepare e-mail and general mail outs to clients and prospects including tracked email marketing;
  • Other marketing duties as required including site content for improved online performance and conversions (lead acquisition), and paid media campaigns and/or social media campaigns.
 
Skills & Qualifications:
 
  • Completion of a diploma or degree in finance or business field is required; 
  • Knowledge of the Financial Industry and understanding of brokerage accounting is required;
  • Experience within the banking and or brokerage industry would be an asset;
  • Completion of/willingness to complete CSC and licensing with IIROC; 
  • Previous digital marketing experience (social media and websites) is desirable; including a base knowledge of Search Engine Optimization, creating and updating website content, and social media engagement and content creation;
  • Experience in reporting on marketing efforts and identifying opportunities;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; 
  • Strong customer service skills; 
  • Excellent IT & computer skills, knowledge in making basic website updates not essential but would be an asset;
  • Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and Salesforce Marketing Cloud; 
  • Demonstrated interest in marketing, investment products, with previous similar work experience an asset.
