L’agent ou l’agente de conformité contribuera au contrôle réglementaire de Canaccord Genuity en assurant le plus haut niveau d’intégrité pour le cabinet et ses clients.

Responsabilités

  • Examiner et approuver les demandes nouvelles et actualisées des clients (particuliers et institutionnels) afin de garantir la conformité aux exigences réglementaires et aux politiques et procédures internes;
  • Observer systématiquement le filtre de communication électronique pour détecter; d’éventuelles violations des règles et prendre les mesures nécessaires en cas de détection;
  • Vérifier les sites Web, la publicité et le matériel de commercialisation pour la distribution externe;
  • Fournir un soutien aux vice-présidents, Conformité pour les besoins de communication et toute autre tâche liée à la conformité;
  • Élaborer des processus et des procédures pour assurer la conformité aux exigences réglementaires et ainsi éviter les sanctions réglementaires;
  • Effectuer rapidement des tâches à délai de rigueur (p. ex. des demandes d’audit de fin d’exercice ou des dossiers de plaintes de clients) en réponse aux demandes des autorités réglementaires et des clients;
  • Traiter efficacement les demandes de renseignements internes et externes afin de promouvoir les affaires, et donc la rentabilité;
  • Documenter les demandes de renseignements et leurs résultats à des fins de référence pour cibler et résoudre les problèmes potentiels;
  • Fournir un soutien pour l’examen et la documentation des alertes de négociation générées par les systèmes de surveillance de la société.

Compétences et qualification professionnelle
  • Posséder au moins cinq ans d’expérience dans le secteur des valeurs mobilières, avec une solide compréhension des règlements de l’Organisme canadien de réglementation du commerce des valeurs mobilières (OCRCVM);
  • Être apte à une nomination en tant que superviseur désigné ou superviseure désignée ou suivre les cours requis pour obtenir cette désignation;
  • Avoir suivi ou être prêt ou prête à suivre le Cours sur le commerce des valeurs mobilières au Canada, le Cours relatif au Manuel sur les normes de conduite, le Cours d’initiation aux produits dérivés et sur la négociation des options, le Cours sur la négociation des contrats à terme, le Cours à l’intention des responsables des contrats d’options et des contrats à terme, ce qui constitue un atout;
  • Avoir une connaissance pratique des règlements sur la lutte contre le blanchiment d’argent;
  • Être bilingue - l’anglais et le français sont requis;

Our Canadian operations are currently looking for a Compliance Officer to join our CG Direct (Order -Execution Only (OEO) Division) Compliance department in Montreal. The Compliance Officer will contribute to the regulatory control of Canaccord Genuity Direct by providing the highest standard of integrity for the firm and its clients.

Responsibilities:
  • Review and approve new and updated client account opening applications (retail and institutional) to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies and procedures;
  • Performing Compliance reviews (daily, monthly, quarterly and annually), as well as constant monitoring of supervision reports. Provide support with reviews and approval of websites, advertising and marketing material for external distribution;
  • Provide support to VPs, Compliance for communication needs;
  • Develop processes & procedures to remain compliant with regulatory requirements to prevent regulatory penalties;
  • Perform time-sensitive tasks (e.g., year end audit inquiries, client complaint files) quickly in response to regulatory and client inquiries; 
  • Handle internal and external queries efficiently to promote Compliance requirements and business in turn profitability;
  • Document queries and the result of such for reference purposes in order to target and resolve potential deficiencies;
  • Monitoring and reviews of market surveillance alerts;
  • Provide support to VPs, Compliance on any other compliance tasks when required. 

Skills & Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in the securities industry, with a solid understanding of IIROC regulations;
  • Must be appointable as a Designated Supervisor or take required courses to achieve designation;
  • Completion of or willingness to complete the Canadian Securities Course, Branch Manager, Derivative Fundamentals and Options Licensing Course, Options Supervisors Course, Futures Contract Licensing Course an asset;

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with insurance needs and analysis as requested by Wealth & Estate Planning Specialists;
  • Provide detailed and meticulous administrative support to the Wealth & Estate Planning Specialists;
  • Input a wide variety of client data onto our system in a timely and efficient manner and upload data & documents into our internal system, Ageman, Naviplan, Hub Financial and various Insurance Company software;
  • Provide client life and living benefits illustrations;
  • Prepare insurance application for clients;
  • Complete all record keeping functions with attention to detail and accuracy, ensuring all audit requirements are being met;
  • Populate detailed monthly pipeline for Sales, Revenue and Client Planning;
  • Follow-up with clients calls and perform other necessary client outreach as required; 
  • Attend team meetings and assist with projects as required. 

Training & Support: 
  • Provide Investment Advisors with ongoing supplemental support on our Hub Financial and insurance carrier software; 
  • Provide support to Wealth Specialists during Investment Advisor team group training sessions or one on one sessions.
  • Provide support to Insurance Licensed Advisory teams as needed;
  • Assist in larger team ongoing improvement projects as required.

Skills & Qualifications:
  • Completion of the Life License Qualification Program (LLQP);
  • 1-3 years of similar or related administrative experience;
  • Knowledge of the Wealth and Estate Planning industry an asset;
  • Experience in life and living benefits insurance is an asset;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Excellent organizational skills, with a strong attention to detail;
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task and meet deadlines;
  • Ability to work independently and effectively with Investment Advisors, clients and colleagues;

Responsibilities:
  • Associate Investment Advisor to the Cash Management Group and associates;
  • Initiate leads and cold calls to prospective clients;
  • Deliver in-person presentations to prospective clients;
  • Maintenance of client relationships;
  • Prepare and validate investment order entries;
  • Prepare new client account opening documents;
  • Perform data entry and follow up with clients via phone and email;
  • Provide ad hoc administrative support.
 
Skills & Qualifications:
  • Valid license with IIROC required;
  • An undergraduate degree or higher level of education;
  • 3 to 5 years of work experience as a licensed Investment Advisor;
  • Willing and eager to make cold calls;
  • Experience with rejection in sales;
  • High level of professionalism;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • Attention to detail is a must with the ability to articulate clearly;
  • Self-starter attributes, motivated and hardworking;
  • Adaptability to work in a constantly changing and highly demanding environment;
  • Vibrant and professional demeanor;
  • Able to present a polished appearance in a formal business environment;
