Summary:


We are currently looking for a Managed Account Supervisor. The role of the Managed Account Supervisor is to oversee Canaccord Genuity Wealth Management’s managed account platforms, working directly with Investment Advisors to support their managed account business.

To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will require leadership qualities, excellent communication skills combined with the ability to prioritize, manage and delegate a complex workload. As an expert in the field, the successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining ongoing relationships with Advisors as well as providing managed account supervision. The successful candidate will have an extensive understanding of managed accounts, portfolio management as well as IIROC regulations pertaining to managed accounts.

This position reports to the Managing Director, Platform, Products & Services. Domestic travel will be required for this role.

Responsibilities:

Advisory Relationships:

  • Work with our national team of Investment Advisors to:
  • Support the construction of discretionary model portfolios;
  • Assist portfolio managers with the development and maintenance of models, ensuring an optimal client outcome and adherence to regulatory obligations;
  • Assist portfolio managers in developing their value proposition, Investment Policy Statement and model constraints;
  • Encourage and support the usage and uptake of the Envestnet ecosystem.
Program Development:

  • Identify and address policy and regulatory concerns as they arise;

Leadership:

  • Answer client inquiries related to their portfolio or the markets.

Trading Responsibilities:
 
  • Monitor security prices for entry and exit levels ;
  • Manage debit balances and bulk trading for clients;
  • Execute equity, fixed income, and FX trades on a regular basis; 
  • Invest incoming funds and rebalance existing portfolios into model portfolios.
