Digital Marketing Manager

 

Working closely with the Head of Marketing & Communications to define and deliver the digital marketing strategy and campaign plans, including:

o Digital content creation

o Managing the web content (including blogs, microsites and landing pages)

o Driving inbound traffic to the company’s website that is engaged and takes action

o Increasing lead generation through digital marketing

o Email marketing including segmentation, design, delivery and landing pages

o Social media management

o Search strategy, including SEO and PPC management

o Paid advertising

• Accountable for the digital user experience end-to-end

Co-ordinate integrated on/offline promotional opportunities and campaigns

Develop and track metrics and success criteria for all marketing activities, with a detailed focus on all aspects of digital delivery in BAU and for campaigns – and report to the Head of Marketing and wider business

• Support internal staff communications, through email creation and distribution and SharePoint/intranet development and management

• Relationship management of all digital suppliers to ensure delivery to time, quality and budget including regular updates and 360-degree reviews

• Responsible for budget tracking and management – overall and by campaign/activity

• Act as a brand ambassador and be responsible for consistent digital adherence to brand guidelines

• Support/influence the digital marketing activities of the global CG Group

• Ensure all marketing materials/activities are client-centric, up-to-date and fully compliant, in line with legal and regulatory requirements

• Adhere with the marketing procedures and production process, including a full ‘job bag’ and audit for all materials/website updates and effective risk management

• As part of the marketing team, support traditional marketing activities including client events, production of monthly and quarterly client publications and other collateral as need be, including proof-reading prior to publication; must be willing to attend events, which may fall outside regular working hours

• Line management of a marketing executive

• Senior stakeholder education and management across onshore and offshore jurisdictions to raise the profile and understanding of digital marketing

• Ad-hoc digital applications and projects, as and when they arise.

Advisory and Broking: Summer internship

Are you in your penultimate year at university and looking to launch a career in Investment Banking? If so this exciting programme could be what you are looking for!

Canaccord’s Summer Internship programme provides you with the opportunity to work alongside Analysts and Associates on a project by project basis to support Directors and Managing Directors in the origination and execution of Corporate Advisory and Corporate Broking transactions. We offer a 10 week placement from July - September within M&A and/or Corporate Broking, with potential to make permanent offers to join our Analyst programme to high performing interns (headcount permitting).

What We Look For In Candidates

Successful Interns are passionate and committed to a career in Investment Banking. They are able to multitask and manage a variety of projects in a dynamic, team-oriented environment. Candidates must demonstrate the highest levels of professionalism, along with strong analytical skills and attention to detail. We look for individuals who are hardworking and eager to gain experience across a variety of different sectors. You should have a strong academic background; although a background in accounting or finance can be helpful, we hire interns who have studied a variety of disciplines. Previous Investment Banking experience would be advantageous.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

  • Undertaking valuations of businesses across a range of sectors using a variety of methodologies, including relative valuation techniques and discounted cash flow analyses, and presenting and discussing the results;
  • Detailed financial modelling and analysis including valuation and assessing the financial impact of transactions;
  • Analysing industry and sector trends, commercial analysis of individual businesses and case studies of transactions;
  • Involved in drafting marketing materials and other documentation including pitches, management presentations, valuation papers and prospectus documentation to specified deadlines;
  • Collating comments from clients and other advisers on materials produced and producing revised materials, with liaison with the relevant regulatory bodies if appropriate;
  • Responsible for review of day to day RNS announcements for allocated clients and have awareness of UKLA / AIM rules
  • Day to day contact with corporate clients, advising on share price movements, market trends and producing market reports on share trading, sector movements and reviewing investor feedback
  • Involved in transaction process management, supporting Analysts/Associates and Vice Presidents to ensure parties keep to deadlines, and that legal, accounting and other process issues are anticipated and addressed; expected to attend most meetings, and to work directly with the client’s Finance Director and other senior management.

Trading Internship

Canaccord’s Trading Internship provides you with the opportunity to be part of the trading team, working cross several of our specialist desks across the floor. The internship will run for three months starting in January 2020. During your three months with us you will learn about the industry, our clients and about what it is like to be an employee of Canaccord Genuity.  Please note that this internship is only available to those who have completed their studies. 

Your role as an intern in our Trading team 

  • Supporting traders across our specialist desks on a day-to-day basis
  • Analysing client and market data to help develop and execute trades
  • Assisting with the preparation of paperwork to activate and maintain client information
  • Shadowing senior members of the team to develop a deeper understanding of the market and our clients needs

Our ideal candidate

  • We are looking to recruit highly motivated individuals who an succeed in a fast paced and at times, challenging environment. 
  • Candidates must be able to multitask and manage a variety of conflicting priorities whilst working in a team-oriented environment. 
  • Previous internships or work experience in trading would be desirable but is not essential
  • Candidates who are able to demonstrate the highest levels of professionalism, along with strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of regulations applying to the financial services industry, its staff and our clients
