My previous career highlights include working as Head of Banking Operations and then Head of Client Tax Reporting at Butterfield Bank, before I moved to Ravenscroft in 2017 where I established a new client tax reporting team. It was there that I discovered the exciting world of securities and investments, and I began studying for the CISI Investment Operations Certificate followed by the CISI Investment Advice Diploma - despite being at a later stage of life and trying to fit study time in around a full-time job and three children.

I trained as a stockbroker and went on to pass my exams which enabled me to become a qualified investment advisor. After almost three years with the Ravenscroft stockbroking team I moved to my current role in 2022, hoping to broaden my knowledge and push myself further with a new challenge in a profession that I'm very passionate about.

As part of the team, I give investment advie to high-net-worth individuals and intermediaries, and trade various financial instruments for our execution-only clients.

A bit about me:

Family time is important to me and we're a sporty bunch, so if I'm not playing sport myself, I will most likely be watching one of my family taking part. In my free time I love to cook and spend time outdoors, and I try to travel as much as I can.

What does can-do mean to me:

You could call it an ethos, an approach, or an ideology. We simply call it can-do.

It means a passion, willingness and drive to help others, whilst having the ability to navigate any obstacles along the way, with minimal fuss. It's a mindset that I aspire to achieve, both in my personal life and at work. I believe you can accomplish anything if you put your mind to it.
