Market update webinar: what’s shaping the global investment landscape?

In the last six months there has been a huge increase in inflation globally, and the Russia-Ukraine war has added even more pressure on prices as the cost of energy and materials rises. As consumers we are all affected by higher inflation, but how can you navigate this as an investor?

In this highly engaging market update webinar, recorded on 22 March 2022, Michel Perera, Canaccord Genuity Wealth Management’s Chief Investment Officer answers this and many other key questions, including:

  • Is economic growth going to be affected everywhere?
  • Might central banks make things worse by raising interest rates relentlessly, and if they do, what could this mean for you?
  • Is there a direct link between the Ukraine war and financial markets?
  • How much longer could markets continue to suffer, depending on the outcome of the conflict?

In the session, Michel also revisits our 2022 key investment themes - inflation and climate transition. In light of recent market falls and soaring oil and gas prices, he discusses how relevant these trends may continue to be for you as an investor.

With an introduction by Andy Finch, Canaccord Genuity Wealth Management’s International Chief Executive Officer, and Richard Champion, our Deputy Chief Investment Officer answering client questions, this session will ensure you are up to date with our experts’ latest thinking on the challenges and opportunities in global investing.
