Collins Stewart builds Healthcare Team

Collins Stewart, a leading independent financial advisory group, is pleased to announce the strengthening of its Securities and Corporate Broking divisions with the formation of a healthcare team incorporating equity research and corporate broking.

The new team comprises Jamie Adams in corporate broking and Julie Simmonds in equity research. Both join from Piper Jaffray.

Jamie Adams – Corporate Broking

Jamie Adams joins the Corporate Broking team as a Managing Director to focus on the Healthcare and Technology sectors. With over fifteen years of capital markets experience, Jamie has, for the past five years, been Head of European Equity Capital Markets (ECM) in the Corporate Broking Department at Piper Jaffray. Prior to Piper Jaffray, Jamie was at Nomura International for eight years, latterly as a Director in ECM coordinating Nomura’s healthcare ECM and corporate broking franchise.

Julie Simmonds – Healthcare Analyst

Julie Simmonds joins the Small/Mid Cap research team as Healthcare analyst. She spent five years at Piper Jaffray as a senior analyst in the No 1. Extel-rated Healthcare Team. Prior to this she was with Nomura, and before that was Head of Life Sciences Research at Evolution Securities. Julie has a PhD in Microbiology from the University of Kent at Canterbury.
