Summary/Job Purpose

Canaccord Genuity is looking for a high-energy, commercially minded Marketing Associate to join our London team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a hands-on role in shaping our brand, accelerating client engagement, and delivering high-impact marketing initiatives within a global financial services firm.

You’ll work closely with senior stakeholders across the business and with our US Marketing team, gaining broad exposure across brand, digital, content, events and client acquisition in a fast-moving, regulated environment.

The Role:

    Marketing Strategy & Planning

    • Support the development and implementation of multi-channel marketing campaigns aligned with business goals.
    • Track market trends, competitor landscapes, and industry shifts to inform strategy.
    • Enhance brand visibility and support client acquisition and retention.

    Brand Management

    • Ensure brand consistency across all channels in partnership with the US Marketing team.
    • Maintain and update brand guidelines, promoting adherence across the business.
    • Produce high quality, compliant marketing materials.

    Content Creation & Thought Leadership

    • Support colleagues in producing compelling thought leadership content such as whitepapers, blogs, podcasts, case studies and presentations.
    • Collaborate on insights and analysis on market trends.
    • Manage distribution of content across digital and traditional channels.

    Digital Marketing & Analytics

    • Oversee website updates, SEO, social media and email campaigns.
    • Leverage analytics tools to measure performance and optimise campaigns.
    • Support lead generation efforts and nurture prospects through the funnel.

    Client Engagement & Events

    • Work closely with business leads to plan and execute client events, webinars and conferences.
    • Develop marketing materials for pitches and presentations.
    • Support DealCloud CRM usage, training and best practice adoption.

    Regulatory Compliance

    • Ensure all marketing output meets FCA standards and internal policies.
    • Partner with Legal & Compliance to review and approve materials.

    Our ideal candidate

    • 2-3 years of marketing experience, ideally in financial services
    • Strong ability across Excel, PowerPoint, Word.
    • CRM experience and familiarity with Google Analytics & Search Console.
    • Experience running digital campaigns, managing social media and creating email newsletters
    • Critical and independent thinker with strong analytical problem‑solving skills.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Impeccable attention to detail.

      Summary/Overview

      Working within the Financial Services team, you will have the opportunity to provide financial advisory services on a wide range of strategic transactions (including acquisitions, divestitures, mergers and re-structuring), capital-raising projects and debt financing mandates to financial institutions.

      Working directly on a project by project basis to support the Financial Services team in the origination and execution of corporate advisory transactions.  This role will also provide support and guidance to Interns and junior Analysts, where appropriate.

      The Role

      • Undertaking valuations of businesses using a variety of methodologies, including relative valuation techniques, leverage buyout models and discounted cash flow analyses, and presenting and discussing the results with the project team, clients and prospective clients;
      • Undertaking detailed financial modelling and analysis including valuation and assessing the financial impact of transactions;
      • Analysing industry and sector trends, commercial analysis of individual businesses and case studies of transactions;
      • Drafting and reviewing marketing materials and other documentation including pitches, teasers, information memorandums, management presentations, strategic review papers, valuation papers and admission / prospectus documents;
      • Collating comments from the project team, clients and other advisers on materials produced and working with the team to produce revised materials; and
      • Involved in transaction process management, supporting Associates / Vice Presidents to ensure projects run smoothly, expected to attend most meetings, and to work directly with the client’s Finance Director and other senior management.

      Our Ideal Candidate

      • We are seeking a Qualified Chartered Accountant with 2–3 years’ experience in the financial services division of a leading accountancy firm, or a candidate with at least 18 months’ experience in M&A at an investment bank or boutique, ideally within a Financial Institutions team.
      • Educated to Degree level or equivalent with a minimum 2:1 grade.
      • Completion of CISI Level 3 Certification in Corporate Finance would be advantageous.
      • ​Highly numerate.
      • Strong communication skills both written and verbally.
      • Strong problem solving skills.
      • Excellent attention to detail.
      • Highly organised and reliable, self-starter, motivated and ambitious.
      • Team player capable of fitting in with the collegiate culture.
      • Valuation and financial modelling experience.
      • Excellent Excel, PowerPoint and Word skills.
