Edin Trto is an experienced investment banker with a practice focused on advising technology and tech-enabled services companies across the financial, data, media, and marketing economies. He provides strategic and financial advisory services to founder-led, private equity–backed, and publicly traded clients on mergers and acquisitions, recapitalizations, and growth capital transactions.
Since joining the TMMIS team at Canaccord Genuity in 2013, Edin has executed numerous transactions representing billions of dollars in aggregate value across software, data, financial technology, digital media, and marketing services. His work spans the evolving intersections of the financial and digital economies –covering FI-focused technology and services, FinTech, Digital Assets, information and analytics platforms, as well as technology-enabled content and marketing businesses.
Edin also plays an active role in the firm’s coverage expansion and origination efforts, particularly in sectors undergoing digital transformation and convergence. Earlier in his career, he worked in the Investment Banking Division at Bank of America Merrill Lynch and subsequently at Petsky Prunier (acquired by Canaccord Genuity), advising clients across industries on M&A and capital markets transactions.
He holds a B.A. in Economics and Philosophy from Vanderbilt University.
