Associate Adviser - Albany

About the Role

We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to join our Wealth desk in Albany. Working closely with the Albany Branch Manager to ensure seamless client service delivery, this role will be responsible for overseeing and nurturing a portfolio of your existing clients while actively contributing to the transition of a substantial client base, as Senior Advisers approach retirement in the coming years.

As an Associate Adviser, you will play a pivotal role in cultivating new leads and servicing the ongoing needs of existing clients. This role offers a variety of disciplines and will provide you with opportunities to develop new skills and areas of specialisation.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Develop, improve and increase the Wealth Management Client base.
  • Ensure that the Wealth Management Client base is properly serviced.
  • Develop an awareness of each Client’s needs, financial situation, investment objectives and level of acceptable financial risk.
  • Develop an awareness of relevant research information/recommendations to properly service Clients needs and investment objectives.
  • Ensure efficient execution of client buy / sell orders.
  • Ensure Client has the financial means to comply with ASX T+2 settlement rules.
  • Maintain relevant Client mailing lists.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant Corporations Law, ASX Business Rules and internal office procedures.
  • Ensure that all trading activities are conducted in line with the Company’s ethical and regulatory standards.
  • Be cognisant of other divisions within the firm and ensure their services are offered to clients.

About you

To thrive in this role, you must be a qualified financial adviser with a passion for specialised financial planning fields. As a seasoned professional, you will contribute to a team aligned with a clear strategic vision and work towards acquiring a significant business. Additionally, we are looking for candidates with the following attributes:

  • All candidates must be RG146 compliant in Managed Investments, Securities, Superannuation and Insurance at a minimum (please refer to www.asic.gov.au for further details).
  • Understanding of ASX rules and regulations.
  • Understanding of Corporations Law and associated statutory regulations.
  • Ability to work in a compliance focused environment.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Proven sales ability and ability to close a deal.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand Client’s needs.
  • Previous experience using portfolio management or understanding of the benefits of using portfolio management.
  • Ability to understand and promote company products.
  • A highly self-motivated individual.
  • An adequate skill in relevant financial markets, IT software and Microsoft Office.
