Melissa Sherman is the CEO of MOBILion Systems Inc., a venture backed life science tools company. Dr. Sherman is recognized as a market-defining leader who translates innovation into category-defining businesses. Throughout her career she was responsible for overseeing product development, manufacturing, regulatory and commercial functions in fashion, consumer and regulated surgical product markets. Dr. Sherman started her career at DuPont as a chemist before transitioning into business leadership roles. She spent 15 years as an executive with P&L responsibility in the surgical products industry with two successful exits by acquisition. After leading early-stage technology investment and deal execution at IP Group, she became CEO of MOBILion, raising $130 million to build a company redefining analytical instrumentation to bring safer, more effective drugs to market. Dr. Sherman holds a Ph.D. in Polymer Science from the University of Akron and a B.S. in Chemistry from UW–Eau Claire.
