Maurice Watkins joined Canaccord Genuity through the acquisition of Results International, where he spent nine years leading the banking efforts in various technology services and software sectors in North America, including his current focus in the cybersecurity and automation verticals. He brings over 20 years of experience as a strategic advisor to technology companies and has proven to be a trusted resource to entrepreneurs and high-growth companies with fundraising and M&A aspirations. He has successfully partnered with clients to create billions in shareholder value for founders and investors alike.
In addition to his advisory responsibilities, Maurice has operating experience at large technology organizations such as KPMG & IBM. He was also a co-founder and investor in RootAxcess, a cloud computing company sold to Fusion Telecommunications in 2015, and EmergingCast, a content marketing start-up sold to Demand Media in 2011.
Maurice holds a B.S. in Systems Engineering from the University of Virginia and an MBA in Finance from Columbia Business School.
