Canaccord Genuity Advises Pathfinder, a Critical Infrastructure Capital Project Management Consulting Leader, on its Sale to System One

Pathfinder, which will operate as a System One company, expands System One’s critical infrastructure capabilities with project assurance, training, and resourcing expertise

Canaccord Genuity has advised Pathfinder, an independent provider of outsourced project management consulting and training that supports capital projects across critical infrastructure, including utilities, energy, mining, and pharmaceutical, on its sale to System One. The combination enhances System One’s critical infrastructure capabilities, spanning organizational effectiveness, project assurance, professional development, dispute resolution, and project-based talent resourcing. System One is a portfolio company of Oaktree Capital Management.

Founded in 1975, Pathfinder provides project management consulting, training, and project-based resourcing to owners across process industries. The company’s recognized practitioners – many with 25+ years of hands-on experience – have delivered independent reviews, risk and contracting support, project controls, and best practice training that help owners deliver small- to mega-scale projects with cost and schedule certainty. Pathfinder is headquartered in Cherry Hill, New Jersey, with additional presence in Houston, Texas and Calgary, Alberta.

System One is a leading provider of specialized, highly technical outsourced services and workforce solutions to critical infrastructure, technology, life sciences, and government sectors. The company is a trusted and essential partner to large private and public organizations – mobilizing specialized resources and expertise to execute complex, mission-critical programs. Founded more than 40 years ago, System One operates in over 50 locations, putting more than 650 employees and 10,000 contractors to work across the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, and Brazil.

Pathfinder will operate as a System One company, aligning offerings within System One’s critical infrastructure sector while continuing to provide the same high quality expertise and client service. Steve Cabano will continue to lead Pathfinder as its president.

Pathfinder’s deep expertise in project assurance, controls, and capital program delivery is highly complementary to the scale and capabilities of System One’s Critical Infrastructure platform. Together, the companies will support owners with independent insight, specialized technical resources, and disciplined project execution.
