Chief Investment Officer
As CIO, I rely not just on my five-year experience with this company, but also past positions in investment banking, particularly 19 years at JP Morgan Private Bank- as portfolio manager for private clients, fund manager of UCITS funds and EMEA strategist. My role is to direct the many dovetailing processes in asset allocation, investment selection, portfolio implementation and model risk management. I am known for speaking mostly about markets, economics and asset allocation, but I attend all our investment committees and help where required in many other investment areas. I try to give my colleagues a lot of leeway so that we can get the best from everyone. Although only 13 people report to me, our investment process includes dozens more from the front office, so I conduct a very large orchestra indeed. My main responsibilities are investment process and performance, internal and client investment communications.
Location: London
A bit about me:
My hobby is music. I play the piano, compose, watch concerts, ballet and opera. Otherwise, I try and spend time with my family in London. I also love to travel.
What does can-do mean to me:
You could call it an ethos, an approach, or an ideology. We simply call it can-do.
Can-do is about finding ways to do things better all the time, improving processes, relationships and thinking patterns to achieve better results for our clients and colleagues.
